I was once again on the phone today with Tammy Spooner, Director of Election Services for Waseca County.  We were discussing some of the ballot errors in surrounding districts and it made me realize something.

First, Waseca County does an excellent job of running our elections.  Tammy and her team work extremely hard on each election.  Does not matter to them if it is local, state or national.  Further, it does not matter to them if it is a primary or general election.  For them the work is the same, perhaps in a larger scale, but none the less the same.

Nobody should wonder what that team does during the time an active election is not going on.  They are busy for the entire year for the elections to be sure we meet all the laws in Minnesota and Nationally. I have been intimately involved in the process for the past several years and have begone to realize how much work goes into the process of making sure our elections run according to law and that each person gets their say in the outcome.

My hat is off to the entire team at the Waseca County Elections Department.
